    • IF I ALREADY HAVE A VA LOAN, CAN I GET ANOTHER ONE?

Yes, you can have a second VA loan.  This can happen when you are moving from one state to another and the new home will be your primary residence.  As long as you have sufficient eligibility per your Certificate of Eligibility, you can use that on another home.  If you do not have sufficient eligibility you may still be able to purchase a home.  In this case the loan amount has to be greater than $144,000.

    • CAN A DOWN PAYMENT ASSISTANCE PROGRAM BE USED WITH USDA?

Absolutely.  Down payment assistance programs can be used not only as a down payment, but also to assist with closing costs.  Be aware that when you use a down payment assistance program, they set the interest rate and it is always higher than if you were to get the loan without their assistance.  There will also be additional fees involved.

    • WHEN BUYING A SECOND HOME IS THE DOWN PAYMENT REQUIREMENT DIFFERENT?

Yes.  When you purchase a second home the minimum down payment is 10%.
